Looking for a Cleanup alternative? Start with your cleanup goal.

Photo Cleaner: Swipe & Delete is an option if you want a personal cleanup plan and a deliberate swipe review. Apple Photos may already be enough if your only task is merging detected duplicates.

What Swipe & Delete focuses on

The app helps you choose where to start: review duplicate and similar photos, old screenshots, and large videos, then follow focused sessions based on your priorities. Swipe right to keep a photo or left to mark it for removal. Undo a swipe or restore a marked item from the in-app Trash Bin before confirming deletion.

Photo analysis runs on your device; photos are not uploaded for scanning. Apple and RevenueCat handle purchase services. It is an iPhone photo-library app, not a system-cache cleaner or a promise to speed up your phone.

Compare the tradeoffs fairly

Cleanup’s current App Store listing advertises video compression, email cleanup and contact cleanup alongside photo tools. Those are meaningful differences if you want to compress a video rather than remove it, or manage contacts and email. Read the current listing to confirm included features. Swipe & Delete’s focus is your photo library and personal review plan; this page makes no claim that it is faster, more accurate, or universally better.

Both apps offer in-app purchases. Swipe & Delete starts with a one-time free allowance; Pro unlocks unlimited swipes and advanced tools. Subscription and one-time purchase availability are shown inside the app. Check each app’s current terms rather than choosing from outdated comparison prices.

If video compression is essential, check whether a current product explicitly offers it. Swipe & Delete reviews large videos; this website does not claim that it compresses them.

Try a small, safe session

  1. Check Settings → General → iPhone Storage to see whether Photos is actually your biggest category.
  2. Open Apple Photos and check Duplicates. Merging detected duplicates may solve the problem without another app.
  3. If you want a plan or swipe review, try Swipe & Delete on a manageable category.
  4. Check the in-app Trash Bin before confirming deletion, and keep Recently Deleted as a recovery buffer.

For an estimate before opening any app, use the local-only cleanup planner. It shows which category contributes the most file bytes under the assumptions you enter.

With iCloud Photos enabled, deletion syncs across your devices. Keep a separate backup of irreplaceable files. Optimized originals may already live mostly in iCloud, so their full file size is not guaranteed local space.
